After more than three years of wait, the upgraded Ricoh GR III has landed in Malaysia, officially.
Officiating the launch was the Managing Director of DSC World Sdn Bhd, Mr Jeffrey Ng and the representative from Ricoh Imaging-Japan, Mr Genichiro Takaoka in Kuala Lumpur.
Invited guests were ushered-in with insight presentation of the new Ricoh GR III with its long history of a no-frills compact camera with snapshot photography in mind. Guests and the interested party has a chance to hands-on the Ricoh GR III with a few demonstration stations set-up to let GR III to unleash its power.
There is a movement station where a ballet dancer will pose for guest to shoot, paired with beautiful background and ambience. In another shooting room, there is also a lifestyle station and a food station to test the versatility of the GR III in different lighting and close-up shooting conditions.
“I love the new shake reduction function which was incorporated in this version and also the colour rendering is so much accurate now. The low light shooting has greatly improved, I can’t really see any visible noise. Ricoh has truly made hard-to-resist camera with this GR III” says long time GR user (GRist) Lydia Ho.
Units are now available at major camera retail outlets. If you have got your unit, you might want to header to Ricoh’s website to update the latest firmware V.1.10 with some improvement in its performances.
